Frogmouths
Tawny Frogmouth's were seen nesting at a couple of places though by far and away the best views were at Granite Gorge near Mareeba where a female was on a nest which a chick and these two chicks on a nearby branch. The bird below was part of a pair with two chicks in the nest at the caravan park at Georgetown, they were just by the site office. Clearly a very showy bird.
Papuan Frogmouth's were seen along the Daintree River, two nesting birds, and at Kingfisher Park Birdwatching Lodge near Julatten.
