Platypus were seen at several locations with the most memorable being the first one at Kingfisher Park Birdwatching Lodge when one swam down the stream and could be clearly seen feeding at the bottom right in front of us, magic. There is a good population at the Tizali Lakes, where this one was photographed, on the road from Atherton to Milla Milla Falls, just look for the large road side fish sign.

Can't visit Australia and not see a Koala. This sleepy individual was found at the Daisy Hill Koala Refuge south of Brisbane.

A number of Grey Kangaroos were seen at various places in the Atherton Tablelands, this female and Joey, with another in the pouch, were at the Mareeba Golf Course.

This adorable Eastern Grey Kangaroo youngster came bounding down a small path whilst I was exploring Capertee Valley. Once it clocked me on the path it went off on a tangent and back into the forest. Absolutely smashing.

A pair of the worlds largest marsupial, the Red Kangaroo, were seen along the road side in the evening midway between Georgetown and Cumberland Dam.
