Regent Bowerbird

As can be seen it was worth going to O'Reilly's for this species alone, male Regent Bowerbirds are simply stunning and easy to see around the lodge.

In addition the Regent Bowerbird O'Reilly's also has Satin Bowerbirds with this being the more numerous and easier to see female
The cycle track at Mt. Molloy has two active Great Bowerbird bowers with attending males. I spent a long time at one of the bowers just watching the going on's and the male trying to get the females into his bower, a remarkable construction.

Double-barred Finches were common around the front of the visitor centre at the Mareeba Wetland. They were skitish however and often difficult to get any real good shots of as they also tended to remain in the shade.
