Waders
An extremely short visit to the west coast of the USA, only six days, meant that birding would be limited to only a few locations. This however was not a hindrance as some quality birds were seen around the Monterey Bay area and inland at La Merced National Wildlife Refuge. Despite the short time frame many new birds were seen and photographed including the spectacle of the 'white' geese and cranes at La Merced.
