This super fine 2nd-winter Caspian Gull was caught during a Canon netting session by the North Thames Gull Group in Essex and now sports an orange colour ring of the group. This is only the second Caspian Gull to be caught by the group and there was much interest in the bird by all those present. I was lucky enough to be the one to extract the bird from under the net and to release it, you can't get any closer to a Caspian Gull that actually holding one, stunning.
