Grebes
Ten days were spent with Pete Livermore birding the Magee Marsh area of North West Ohio. This is considered one of the very best areas in the US to get up close and personal with the North American Wood Warblers. In general may warblers were seen at very close range on most days however poor weather mid way into the trip brought these birds down even closer and were often mere feet away from the boardwalk. The downside was that the birds were often to close to focus the camera on and I had to resort to the 300mm lens most of the time and had to use a high ISO, 500-800, due to the poor light caused by the extremely grim weather conditions. I've done my best to clean many of those images up.

Apart from warblers a scattering of other species were had however waders, wildfowl and raptors were decidedly scarce. We then spent a couple of days in Michigan at the end of the trip for the rare Kirtland's Warbler.
