House Martin, Paglesham Lagoon 18th April 2009
Really difficult to get any decent images of this highly mobile bird.
Swallow, Paglesham Lagoon 18th April 2009
Despite a dozen or so birds being present it was still difficult to obtain good images.
Whitethroat, Gunners Park 18th April 2009
If he wasn't in dense brambles he was at the top of the nearest pine tree, tricky seems to be the game this year.
Dartford Warbler, Dunwich Heath, Suffolk 25th April 2009
Often mostly out of range of the camera lens the above bird was by far the closest bird on the day though it only stayed put for less than ten seconds whilst the bird below sat out singing constantly for fiften minutes but well away form the path, frustrating but cracking little birds.
Chaffinch, Minsmere RSPB Reserve, Suffolk 25th April 2009
Many Chaffinches visited the feeders by the reserve visitor centre with the feeders out the front beneath the car park having the better photographic opportunities.
Spotted Flycatcher, Gunners Park, Essex 6th September 2009
Of the three Spot Flys in the park today this was the most obliging though it was still mostly distant.
Redstart, Gunners Park, Essex 12th September 2009
Very awkward to photograph this bird as was always on the other side of the reserve chain link fence and nearly always in the shaded area thus never allowing a fast shutter speed; still a reasonable result given the circumstances..
Spotted and Pied Flycatchers
Spotted Flycatcher, Gunners Park, Essex 19th September 2009
Pied Flycatcher, Gunners Park, Essex 19th September 2009
Of the two Pied Flys in and around the park today, this was the easier of the two to photograph though it was still a little bugger at times.
