Butterflies & Moths: Page 1
I've not been able to do much butterflying this year, discounting Holly Blues in the garden, so these early Heath Fritillaries, the first of the year, were pleasantly received at Hockley Woods on 29th May. Hopefully more to come.
Numbers of Heath Fritillaries are so far low this year with barely double numbers at Little Haven/Starvelarks Wood, above. on 3rd June; hopefully they will pick up.
Belfairs and Dodds Grove are always reliable for Heath Fritillaries as the the above and below show; 3rd June 2010
