A couple of sprightly plumages birds were on Porth Killier with a mixed flock of Dunlin, Turnstones and Ringed Plover

A nice flock of summer plumaged birds were feeding in the seaweed on Porth Killier Beach, St. Agnes where they allowed careful approach.

We get Turnstones at close range on the end of Southend Pier in winter but they rarely look like these summer plumaged gems, the pier birds tend to be long gone before they make the transition to this plumage and they look all the better for being on a beach on Scilly than on the boardwalk on Southend Pier.
