Great Blue Herons were commonly found along Bolivar Peninsula, this bird was at Yacht Basin Road over the High Tide
Both the 'red' and 'white' morph Reddish Egrets above and below were both from the car park to the east (High Island and bay side) of Rollover Pass along Bolivar Peninsula. All other Reddish Egrets seen were far more distant these birds.
Little Blue Herons were not widely found with bar far and away the best location being Brazos Bend State Park.
Locally common, being most abundant around the Sabine Woods area (below) and Yacht Basin (above) and Tuna Roads along Bolivar Peninsula, Tricoloured Herons proved tricky to get any decent images of.
Brazos Bend State Park is heron haven and provided the best views of this species, the Green Heron, where it was common. Previously only seen in flight at various areas around High Island and Sabine Woods.
