Jays & Blackbirds
Blue Jay's were common and vocal at Boy Scout Wood but less so at Smith Oaks.
Grackles were virtually everywhere and almost overlooked from a photographic point. This one, a Great-tailed Grackle was along Tuna Road. If looking fierce is a grackle requirement then this one has got it down to an art.
This Yellow-headed Blackbird was a last day treat. Favoring the small cattle paddock near the entrance to Hooks Wood heat haze played a part in the difficulty in getting any really decent shots of it, though this pic is not to shabby.
Red-winged Blackbirds were common throughout, often in small to large flocks and could be found at most open habitat areas.
