All of the American Golden Plover's seen during the trip were winter plumaged birds and were seen a several sites. This bird was in the car park next to Roll Over Pass and appeared to have a slightly damaged drooping wing though it is not apparent in this image.
Wilson's Plover was only found on the beach at Bolivar HAS reserve where it was uncommon.
These elegant wading birds, Black-necked Stilts, were common at the Oilfields near High Island.
American Oystercatchers were uncommon being seen only at Bolivar Flats
Killdeers were both common and widespread being seen at wetland sites and along main highways; this bird was at Brazos Bend State Park
Piping Plover was only found on the beach at Bolivar HAS reserve where it was uncommon.
Only small numbers of Semipalmated Plovers were seen with the only photograpable birds being at Bolvar Flats.; adult above with first-winter below.
