Willet, probably of the eastern race semipalmatus from Tuna Road and Yacht Basin Road. Note the plainer plumage of the Western birds below and the grey bill base as opposed to pinkish bill base on the Eastern birds.
Willet, probably of the Western form inornata, Rollover Pass car park.
Long-billed Curlew's were surprisingly scarce with only two birds being seen, in a cattle field along Bolivar Peninsula several miles from High Island.
Marbled Godwits were only seen along the Bolivar Peninsula at Yacht Basin Road and Horseshoe Lake at the crossing at highway 108. The best views and for getting half a chance of photographing them, try the 108 loop road at Horseshoe Lake.
Hudsonian Whimbrels were common along Bolivar Peninsula, especially at Yacht Basin Road over high tide where a flock alighted on the road. This bird was part of that flock.
