Fulvous Whistling Ducks were only found at Anahuac though they are meant to be in other wetland areas.

Black-bellied Whistling Ducks were commoner and more widespread than the Fulvous with several flocks being seen though the best views were at Brazos Bend State Park where this shot, as well as others, were taken.

Mottled Ducks are extremely similar to the more widespread Black Duck, sharing similar attributes in plumage though the range of the two species does not over lap. This bird was at Bolivar.
Blue-winged Teal was by far and away the commonest duck encountered; large numbers were at Anahuac and Brazos Bend State Park. The bird above was just a few feet from the path at Brazos whilst the wing stretching bird below was along the Shoveler Pond loop at Anahuac.
