Woodpeckers

This Downy Woodpecker seemed to favour this dead snag at Sabine Woods, being seen there on both mornings the site was visited.

A pair of these magnificent Pileated Woodpeckers were at Brazos Bend State Park by Elm Lake.

This ultra-confiding Yellow-bellied Sapsucker sat motionless for a few minutes right by the boardwalk at Sabine Woods one morning.
