A not so shabby did-scoped image of a stunning Black Bee-eater at Maramagambo, just outside of the Queen Elizabeth National Park

Red-throated Bee-eater is such a stunning bird which was common around the ferry at Murchison Falls National Park

A small flock of around 6-8 of these beauties, Northern Carmine Bee-eaters were found at Murchison Falls National Park however they proved a little difficult to photograph from the van as they were nearly always just out of range of 100-400mm lens, still a couple of half reasonable shots were managed.

Lilac-breasted Roller was fairly common at Lake Mburo, this one was by the entrance gate

A personal favorite this one. Our first morning in Uganda and in dug out canoes paddling around the Mabamba Swamp near Entebbe this bird allowed close approach. This is perhaps the best of several shots of this marvelous Malachite Kingfisher as it has the entire bent reed stem in shot.
Pied Kingfishers were common along most waterways, especially the Kazinga Channel, Queen Elizabeth National Park, where they were particularly common

The same Grey-headed Kingfisher as above
