Red-breasted Goose, Wallasea Island, Essex 24th January 2010
Almost certainly a wild bird rather one from the feral population in Suffolk which has linked up with a brent flock, an absolute belting bird. This image is a result of digiscoping over great distance hence the less than perfect image.
Greylag Goose, Fleet Head, Great Wakering, Essex 24th April 2010
This Greylag has been associating with two Canada Geese for the past few months now

Whooper Swan, Porth Hellick Pool, St. Mary's

Mute Swan, Wat Tyler Country Park, Essex -15th April 2007
Mute Swan, Paglesham Lagoon, Essex - 14th June 2008
The non typical bird above and below. Note the profile appears to be more Whooper Swan like with long head, sloping forehead and long bill being rather different to the more rounded head shape of the typical Bewick's Swans. It was also larger, closer to the Mutes in size, the above is a photographic affect showing it to be considerably smaller than the Mute behind. It also had a less white plumage, looking dirtier and loose rather than Whooper Swan. The yellow in the bill extends closer to the nostril than on the Bewick's.
Could this bird simply be a large make Bewick's, a small female Whooper with limited yellow on the bill or something else?
Bewick's Swans - Jubilee Cottages, Paglesham, Essex 27th December 2010
Three birds were present in the Mute Swan herd on fields to the south of Jubilee Cottages. Two typical birds kept close together whilst a third, a non typical bird, was a loner.
Whooper Swan, Meoness, Fair Isle, September 2011
Long staying bird was joined by six wild 'genuine' Greylag Geese
